Asotin Panthers (Asotin, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Chewelah Cougars (Chewelah, WA), 7-6 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 6-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Davenport for a 2B Bi-County challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Asotin will face a Gorillas squad coming off a 14-8 league loss to Kettle Falls (Kettle Falls, WA). The Gorillas record now stands at 1-10.

With the loss, Chewelah falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host Northwest Christian School (Colbert, WA) to face the Crusaders in a 2B Bi-County challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 12-0. Northwest Christian School won 8-3 in their recent league challenge against Liberty (Spangle, WA)
