The Lakeland Dreadnaughts softball team scored 24 runs and limited the host Avon Park Red Devils to 7 in the Dreadnaughts non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Lakeland improves its record to 10-7 on the year. The Dreadnaughts host Plant City (Plant City, FL) to clash with the Raiders in a 6A District 10 game on Monday, April 24. The Raiders come into the game with a record of 11-8. Plant City won 18-8 in their recent non-league game against Hillsborough (Tampa, FL)

In their next game, the Red Devils clash with the Moore Haven Terriers (Moore Haven, FL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 25. Avon Park will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record.
