In Friday's league contest, the Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Carlynton Cougars (Carnegie, PA), by a margin of 15-0.

With the triumph, Union Area moves its record to 12-1 on the year. The Scotties travel to Neshannock (New Castle, PA) to play the Lancers in a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 25. The Lancers come into the contest with a record of 9-0.

In their next game, the Cougars play the South Side Rams (Hookstown, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 1 contest, on Monday, April 24. Carlynton will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record.
