Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM), 13-6 in a league challenge.

The Desert Warriors now own a 11-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Deming for a 4A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Santa Teresa will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-2 league loss to Silver (Silver City, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-16.

With the loss, Chaparral falls to 9-12 on the campaign. The Lobos host Silver (Silver City, NM) to battle the Fighting Colts in a 4A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Fighting Colts enter the challenge with a record of 19-4. Silver won 9-2 in their recent league challenge against Deming (Deming, NM)
