South Carolina High School Softball - Chesterfield holds off North Central

Chesterfield Golden Rams (Chesterfield, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Central Knights (Kershaw, SC), 3-1 in a league challenge.
The Golden Rams now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buford for a AA Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Chesterfield will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 18-4 league win over Central (Pageland, SC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 10-7.
With the loss, North Central falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Knights travel to McBee (McBee, SC) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 24. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 3-6.
