The Meridian Mustangs softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Manassas Park Cougars to 1 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Meridian improves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Mustangs host Brentsville District (Nokesville, VA) to clash with the Tigers in a Northwestern game on Tuesday, April 25. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 8-4. Brentsville District won 8-3 in their recent league game against Warren County (Front Royal, VA)

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Gar-Field Red Wolves (Woodbridge, VA) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 24. Manassas Park will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Red Wolves come into the game with a 3-8 record after their 20-9 league loss to Hylton (Woodbridge, VA).
