Waccamaw Warriors (Pawley's Island, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Manning Monarchs (Manning, SC), 18-0 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they host Carvers Bay for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 24.

With the loss, Manning falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Monarchs travel to Dillon (Dillon, SC) to battle the Wildcats in a AAA Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 13-6. Dillon won 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Pee Dee Academy (Mullins, SC)
