West Allegheny Indians (Imperial, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host New Castle for a WPIAL 5A 3 challenge on Monday, April 24. West Allegheny will battle a Hurricanes squad coming off a 8-2 league loss to South Fayette (McDonald, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Moon Area falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Western Beaver (Industry, PA) to battle the Golden Beavers in a WPIAL 5A 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Golden Beavers enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Western Beaver lost 12-8 in their recent league challenge against South Fayette (McDonald, PA)
