In Friday's league outing, the host Saranac Lake Red Storm softball team scored a nice 15-4 win over the Moriah Vikings.

Coming up next, the Red Storm battle the Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I outing, on Monday, April 24. Saranac Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Nighthawks enter the outing with a 4-2 record after their 17-2 non-league win over Franklin Academy (Malone, NY).

The Vikings (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Hornets enter the Section 7 Champlain Valley I outing with a 2-0 record. In their last outing, Plattsburgh ran past Peru (Peru, NY), 11-10, in a league outing.
