Mundelein Mustangs (Mundelein, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Zion-Benton Zee-Bees (Zion, IL), 16-9 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Forest for a North Suburban challenge on Monday, April 24. Mundelein will face a Scouts squad coming off a 16-8 non-league win over Fenton (Bensenville, IL). The Scouts record now stands at 3-8.

With the loss, Zion-Benton falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Zee-bees travel to Mundelein (Mundelein, IL) to face the Mustangs in a North Suburban challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 12-3.
