Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM), 15-5 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 21-3 record. They take the field next when they host Farmington for a 5A District 2 challenge on Friday, April 28. Piedra Vista will face a Scorpions squad coming off a 11-3 league loss to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Scorpions record now stands at 17-7.

With the loss, Sandia falls to 12-11 on the campaign. The Matadors host West Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NM) to meet the Dons in a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 26. The Dons go into the battle with a record of 8-6.
