The Avoca Central Tigers (Avoca, NY) baseball trounced the host Alfred-Almond Eagles (Almond, NY), 16-5 in Monday's league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jasper-Troupsburg for a Section 5 Steuben County challenge on Tuesday, April 22. Avoca Central will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 11-0 league loss to Campbell-Savona (Campbell, NY). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-3.

With the defeat, Alfred-Almond drops to 1-2 on the year. The Eagles host Addison (Addison, NY) to clash with the Knights in a Section 5 Steuben County challenge on Wednesday, April 23. The Knights go into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Addison won 16-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Dundee (Dundee, NY)
