Virginia High School Baseball - Buckingham holds off Amherst County

April 21, 2025: Amherst, VA 24521

The Buckingham Knights baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host Amherst County Lancers to 8 in the Knights non-league win on Monday.

The Knights now hold a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Prince Edward County for a James River test on Tuesday, April 22. Buckingham will play a Eagles team coming off a 11-0 league loss to Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-3.

With the defeat, Amherst County drops to 6-6 on the year. The Lancers travel to Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a Seminole test on Tuesday, April 22. The Cavaliers go into the test with a record of 8-0. Jefferson Forest won 14-0 in their recent non-league test against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy (Moneta, VA)
