The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Breese Central Cougars (Breese, IL) and the visiting Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians (Carlyle, IL), saw Breese Central's baseball team gain a win over Carlyle by a tally of 7-2.

The Cougars (11-5) will now prepare for their battle against Roxana (Roxana, IL). The Shells enter the Cahokia - Other battle with a 13-4 record. In their last battle, Roxana was overwhelmed by Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL), 6-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Indians/Lady Indians face the Red Bud Musketeers (Red Bud, IL) in a Cahokia - Illinois battle, on Tuesday, April 22. Carlyle will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Musketeers enter the battle with a 12-4 record after their 14-1 league loss to Okawville (Okawville, IL).
