Illinois High School Baseball - Metamora wallops Canton

The Metamora Redbirds baseball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Canton Little Giants to 3 in the Redbirds league win on Monday.

The Redbirds now own a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canton for a Mid-Illini test on Wednesday, April 23. Metamora will play a Little Giants team coming off a 17-1 non-league win over Bushnell-Prairie City (Bushnell, IL). The Little Giants record now stands at 7-10.

With the defeat, Canton drops to 6-10 on the year. The Little giants travel to Richwoods (Peoria, IL) to play the Knights in a non-league test on Monday, April 21. The Knights go into the test with a record of 9-6. Richwoods won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL)
