North Carolina High School Baseball - South Stokes holds off Elkin

In Monday's league game, the visiting South Stokes Sauras baseball team scored a close 7-3 win over the Elkin Buckin' Elks.
The Sauras (9-11) will now prepare for their game against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 5-15 record. In their last game, Wilkes Central nudged West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC), 9-7, in a league game.
Next, the Buckin' Elks play the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a Northwest 1A game, on Wednesday, April 23. Elkin will attempt to improve on its 4-15 season record. The Trojans go into the game with a 2-17 record after their 4-3 league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC).
