The Lincoln-Way Central Knights baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Sandburg Eagles to 5 in the Knights league win on Monday.

The Knights now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln-Way East for a Southwest Suburban test on Wednesday, April 23. Lincoln-Way Central will play a Griffins team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Brother Rice (Chicago, IL). The Griffins record now stands at 13-4.

With the defeat, Sandburg drops to 10-6 on the year. The Eagles travel to Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL) to play the Warriors in a Southwest Suburban test on Wednesday, April 23. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 12-3. Lincoln-Way West won 10-0 in their recent league test against Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL)
