The Dan River Wildcats softball team scored 23 runs and held the visiting Gretna Hawks to 0 in the Wildcats non-league win on Monday.

The Wildcats now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chatham for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 23. Dan River will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 24-0 non-league loss to Halifax County (South Boston, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Gretna moves to 1-6 on the season. The Hawks travel to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA) to confront the Governors in a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 23. The Governors come into the battle with a record of 0-6. Nelson County lost 15-0 in their recent non-league battle against Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA)
