The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) and the host Downers Grove North Trojans (Downers Grove, IL), observed Lyons's softball team notch a victory over Downers Grove North by a final score of 17-9.

The Lions (3-1) will now prepare for their bout against Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Riverside-Brookfield was routed by St. Laurence (Burbank, IL), 18-14, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL) in a bout, on Wednesday, April 23. Downers Grove North will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 9-2 non-league win over Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL).
