The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) and the visiting Hedgesville Eagles (Hedgesville, WV), observed Jefferson's softball team prevail over Hedgesville by a tally of 16-1.

The Cougars (5-1) will now prepare for their bout against Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV). The Cardinals go into the non-league bout with a 2-4 record. In their last bout, Spring Mills was routed by South Carroll (Sykesville, MD), 15-5, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Berkeley Springs Indians (Berkeley Springs, WV) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 24. Hedgesville will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 20-1 non-league loss to Musselman (Inwood, WV).
