The Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH) softball nipped the visiting North Rangers (Eastlake, OH), 4-3 in Monday's non-league outing.
The Cardinals now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brunswick for a non-league outing on Tuesday, April 22. Mentor will encounter a Blue Devils team coming off a 25-0 non-league win over Black River (Sullivan, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-0.
With the loss, North moves to 0-4 on the season. The Rangers host South (Willoughby, OH) to encounter the Rebels in a non-league outing on Wednesday, April 23. The Rebels come into the outing with a record of 2-6. South lost 9-7 in their recent non-league outing against Chardon (Chardon, OH)
