The Riverdale Chieftains overwhelmed the host Darlington Redbirds softball squad by a count of 14-4 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Chieftains meet the Wisconsin Heights Vanguards (Mazomanie, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 22. Riverdale will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Vanguards go into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 13-2 non-league win over Sauk Prairie (Prairie du Sac, WI).

The Redbirds (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Fennimore (Fennimore, WI). The Golden Eagles go into the SWAL challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Fennimore was routed by Prairie du Chien (Prairie du Chien, WI), 6-5, in a non-league challenge.
