The West Aurora Blackhawks softball team scored 11 runs and held the host Elgin Maroons to 1 in the Blackhawks league win on Monday.

The Blackhawks now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aurora Central Catholic for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 22. West Aurora will confront a Chargers team coming off a 11-1 league win over Saint Ignatius College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 14-5.

With the loss, Elgin moves to 2-10 on the season. The Maroons travel to Larkin (Elgin, IL) to confront the Royals in a Upstate Eight battle on Tuesday, April 22. The Royals come into the battle with a record of 6-8. Larkin lost 10-0 in their recent league battle against South Elgin (South Elgin, IL)
