Virginia High School Softball - Essex bounces Franklin

The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA) and the visiting Franklin Broncos (Franklin, VA), observed Essex's softball team prevail over Franklin by a tally of 17-3.
The Trojans (5-7) will now prepare for their bout against Northumberland (Heathsville, VA). The Indians go into the Northern Neck bout with a 5-1 record. In their last bout, Northumberland knocked off Lancaster (Lancaster, VA), 4-3, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Broncos clash with the Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 24. Franklin will attempt to advance on its 1-8 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 18-12 non-league win over King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA).
