The Winnebago Indians overwhelmed the host Genoa-Kingston Cogs softball squad by a count of 9-4 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Indians meet the Rock Falls Rockets (Rock Falls, IL) in a Big Northern challenge, on Thursday, April 24. Winnebago will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Rockets go into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 4-3 league loss to Dixon (Dixon, IL).

The Cogs (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL). The Cardinals go into the Big Northern challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Stillman Valley held off Lutheran (Rockford, IL), 16-0, in a league challenge.
