The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Montclair Mounties (Montclair, NJ) and the visiting Union City Soaring Eagles (Union City, NJ), observed Montclair's softball team get by Union City by a tally of 11-5.
The Mounties (7-3) will now prepare for their bout against Verona (Verona, NJ). The Hillbillies go into the non-league bout with a 7-3 record. In their last bout, Verona tipped West Orange (West Orange, NJ), 10-8, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Soaring Eagles battle the Kearny Kardinals (Kearny, NJ) in a HCIAL - American bout, on Tuesday, April 22. Union City will attempt to advance on its 3-7 season record. The Kardinals go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 18-5 league loss to Bayonne (Bayonne, NJ).
