The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Scituate Spartans (North Scituate, RI) and the visiting Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI), observed Scituate's softball team get by Mt. Hope by a final score of 10-5.

The Spartans (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Patriots go into the Division 2 bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, Portsmouth was routed by Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT), 13-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Huskies battle the Woonsocket Villa Novans (Woonsocket, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Wednesday, April 23. Mt. Hope will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Villa Novans go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 17-0 league loss to Johnston (Johnston, RI).
