Sachem North (Lake Ronkonkoma, NY) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Walt Whitman Wildcats (Huntington Station, NY), 16-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Sachem North improves its record to 3-1 on the year. The host Connetquot (Bohemia, NY) to play the T-Birds in a Section 11 AA-1 game on Thursday, May 1. The T-Birds enter the game with a record of 5-2.

The Wildcats now hold a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Sachem East for a Section 11 AA-2 game on Thursday, April 24. Walt Whitman will play a squad coming off a 5-2 league loss to Ward Melville (East Setauket, NY). The record now stands at 6-4.
