The Wheelersburg Pirates triumphed over the visiting Valley Indians softball squad by a count of 11-1 in Monday's league challenge.
Next, the Pirates play the Westfall Mustangs (Williamsport, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 22. Wheelersburg will attempt to upgrade on its 11-0 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 11-5 league loss to Zane Trace (Chillicothe, OH).
The Indians (5-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Russell (Russell, KY). The Red Devils enter the non-league challenge with a 6-11 record. In their last challenge, Russell was routed by East Carter (Grayson, KY), 4-3, in a non-league challenge.
