Minnesota High School Baseball - Pierz nips Albany

The Pierz Pioneers baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Albany Huskies to 5 in the Pioneers non-league win on Tuesday.

The Pioneers now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Little Falls for a non-league test on Thursday, April 23. Pierz will clash with a Flyers team coming off a 9-6 league win over Foley (Foley, MN). The Flyers record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, Albany drops to 1-3 on the year. The Huskies travel to St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN) to clash with the Crusaders in a Granite Ridge test on Wednesday, April 22. The Crusaders go into the test with a record of 8-2. St. Cloud Cathedral won 11-0 in their recent league test against Milaca (Milaca, MN)
