Kentucky High School Softball - Monroe County bounces Caverna

April 21, 2026: Horse Cave, KY 42749

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY) and the host Caverna Colonels (Horse Cave, KY), observed Monroe County's softball team notch a victory over Caverna by a final score of 20-5.

The Falcons (6-8) will now prepare for their bout against Russell County (Russell Springs, KY). The Lakers go into the non-league bout with a 11-6 record. In their last bout, Russell County gained a win over Clinton County (Albany, KY), 7-4, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Colonels battle the Green County Dragons (Greensburg, KY) in a District 18 bout, on Thursday, April 23. Caverna will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 7-15 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Elizabethtown (Elizabethtown, KY).
