North Carolina High School Softball - Watauga bounces McDowell

April 21, 2026: Marion, NC 28752

The Watauga Pioneers softball team scored 9 runs and held the host McDowell Titans to 4 in the Pioneers league win on Tuesday.

The Pioneers now possess a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ashe County for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 23. Watauga will confront a Huskies team coming off a 10-0 league win over Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 7-12.

With the loss, McDowell moves to 9-9 on the season. The Titans travel to A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC) to confront the Rockets in a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 22. The Rockets come into the battle with a record of 6-11. A.C. Reynolds lost 6-3 in their recent league battle against Enka (Enka, NC)
