West Virginia High School Softball - Valley topped by River

River Pilots (Hannibal, OH) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Valley Lumberjacks (Pine Grove, WV), 13-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, River upgrades its record to 14-4 on the year. The Pilots travel to Caldwell (Caldwell, OH) to play the Redskins in a Ohio Valley Athletic AA game on Wednesday, April 22. The Redskins enter the game with a record of 11-3. Caldwell lost 8-0 in their recent non-league game against The Linsly School (Wheeling, WV)

The Lumberjacks now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they travel to Trinity Christian for a Mason-Dixon game on Wednesday, April 22. Valley will play a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Cameron (Cameron, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 6-10.
