Pennsylvania High School Baseball - Halifax gets by Newport

April 22, 2022: Newport, PA 17074

Halifax Wildcats (Halifax, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Halifax upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Juniata (Mifflintown, PA) to battle the Indians in a Tri-Valley test on Saturday, April 23. The Indians come into the test with a record of 6-1. Juniata won 8-6 in their recent league test against Susquenita (Duncannon, PA)

With the defeat, Newport falls to 5-5 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Susquenita (Duncannon, PA) to battle the Blackhawks in a Tri-Valley test on Monday, April 25. The Blackhawks come into the test with a record of 1-8. Susquenita lost 12-2 in their recent non-league test against Tulpehocken (Bernville, PA)
