The Salem Spartans crushed the visiting Patrick Henry Patriots baseball team by a count of 13-3 in Friday's league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cave Spring for a River Ridge bout on Saturday, April 23. Salem will face a Knights team coming off a 6-3 league win over Pulaski County (Dublin, VA). The Knights record now stands at 6-2.

Next, the Patriots face the Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 28. Patrick Henry will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record. The Vikings enter the bout with a 11-3 record after their 13-8 league loss to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA).
