In Friday's league battle, the visiting Clairemont Chieftains volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Kearny Komets.

The Chieftains (19-7) will now prepare for their battle against Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach, CA). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 18-8 record. In their last battle, Santa Fe Christian nudged Escondido Charter (Escondido, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Komets encounter the Hoover Cardinals (San Diego, CA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 25. Kearny will attempt to advance on its 9-15 season record. The Cardinals come into the battle with a 9-14 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Classical Academy (Escondido, CA).
