Leesville Road Pride (Raleigh, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Athens Drive Jaguars (Raleigh, NC), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Pride now sport a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sanderson for a Cap Six 4A challenge on Tuesday, April 26. Leesville Road will face a Spartans squad coming off a 17-1 league win over Enloe (Raleigh, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Athens Drive falls to 1-12 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Cardinal Gibbons (Raleigh, NC) to face the Crusaders in a Cap Six 4A challenge on Monday, April 25. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. Cardinal Gibbons won 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Broughton (Raleigh, NC)
