The crowd at Friday's league match between the East Bernard Brahmas (East Bernard, TX) and the host Brazos Cougars (Wallis, TX), saw East Bernard's softball squad nip Brazos by a count of 4-2.

The Brahmas now sport a 21-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Danbury for a 3A Region III District 24 match on Monday, April 25. East Bernard will face a Panthers squad coming off a 8-5 league win over Hempstead (Hempstead, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 23-11.

With the loss, Brazos falls to 5-8 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to New Waverly (New Waverly, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Thursday, April 28. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 20-6. New Waverly won 11-3 in their recent league match against Onalaska (Onalaska, TX)
