Brewbaker Tech Rams (Montgomery, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Calera Eagles (Calera, AL), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 28-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. James for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. Brewbaker Tech will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Alabama Christian Academy (Montgomery, AL). The Trojans record now stands at 9-10.

With the loss, Calera falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Montevallo (Montevallo, AL) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 9-8. Montevallo won 16-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Isabella (Maplesville, AL)
