Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Chattanooga Central Pounders (Harrison, TN) and the host Rockwood Tigers (Rockwood, TN), witnessed Chattanooga Central's softball squad tip Rockwood by a count of 12-9.

The Pounders now sport a 15-9 record. They play next when they host Notre Dame for a non-league match on Monday, April 25. Chattanooga Central will meet a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 21-10 league win over Grace Baptist Academy (Chattanooga, TN). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 4-16.

With the loss, Rockwood moves to 1-9 on the season. The Tigers travel to Midway (Kingston, TN) to meet the Green Wave in a 1A District 4 match on Monday, April 25. The Green Wave go into the match with a record of 6-7. Midway won 7-0 in their recent league match against Oakdale (Oakdale, TN)
