The Patton Panthers softball team scored 7 runs and limited the host Draughn Wildcats to 4 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Patton moves its record to 9-9 on the year. The Panthers travel to Chase (Forest City, NC) to clash with the Trojans in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A game on Tuesday, April 26. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 13-2. Chase won 17-0 in their recent league game against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC)

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A game, on Monday, April 25. Draughn will attempt to move on its 12-7 season record. The Mountaineers come into the game with a 1-11 record after their 16-0 league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC).
