North Middlesex Regional Patriots (Townsend, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Fitchburg Red Raiders (Fitchburg, MA), 31-5 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host South for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25.

With the loss, Fitchburg falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Red raiders travel to Nashoba Regional (Bolton, MA) to face the Chieftains in a Midland-Wachusett B challenge on Monday, April 25. The Chieftains enter the challenge with a record of 4-2.
