Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME), 9-0 in a league challenge.

The Lynx now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dexter for a Class C North challenge on Monday, April 25. Mattanawcook will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Piscataquis (Guilford, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, George Stevens Academy falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Orono (Orono, ME) to battle the Riots in a Class C North challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Riots enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Orono won 21-3 in their recent league challenge against Washington Academy (East Machias, ME)
