West Virginia High School Softball - Lincoln holds off Lewis County

The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) and the visiting Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV), saw Lincoln's softball squad nip Lewis County by a count of 2-0.

The Cougars now sport a 16-1 record. They take the field next when they host Philip Barbour for a non-league match on Saturday, April 23. Lincoln will face a Colts squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV). The Colts record now stands at 16-2.

With the loss, Lewis County falls to 13-7 on the campaign. The Minutemen travel to Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, April 23. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 13-5. Robert C. Byrd lost 3-1 in their recent non-league match against Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV)
