The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Springboro Panthers (Springboro, OH) and the host North Panthers (Springfield, OH), saw Springboro's softball squad nip North by a count of 9-5.

The Panthers now sport a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they host Northmont for a Greater Western Ohio match on Wednesday, April 27. Springboro will face a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 9-6 league win over Wayne (Huber Heights, OH). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 11-2.

With the loss, North falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Beavercreek (Beavercreek, OH) to face the Beavers in a non-league match on Sunday, April 24. The Beavers enter the match with a record of 9-1.
