The Northwestern Regional Highlanders softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Thomaston Bears to 1 in the Highlanders league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Northwestern Regional moves its record to 6-0 on the year. The Highlanders travel to Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT) to meet the Spartans in a Berkshire battle on Monday, April 25. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 4-0. Shepaug Valley won 20-8 in their recent league battle against Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT)
