Spectators at Saturday's league battle between the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM), saw Sandia's baseball squad beat Piedra Vista by a margin of 8-3.

Coming up next, the Matadors play the Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 25. Sandia will attempt to better on its 15-8 season record. The Ravens enter the battle with a 16-7 record after their 10-7 league win over Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM).

The Panthers now sport a 15-9 record. They take the field next when they host Farmington for a 5A District 2 battle on Saturday, April 29. Piedra Vista will play a Scorpions squad coming off a 25-4 league loss to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Scorpions record now stands at 11-12.
