The Lowell Red Devils (Lowell, IN) softball routed the host Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN), 10-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Red Devils (6-2) will now prepare for their bout against Kankakee Valley (Wheatfield, IN). The Kougars go into the Northwest Crossroads bout with a 5-8 record. In their last bout, Kankakee Valley toppled Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN), 4-1, in a non-league bout.

The Pirates now possess a 0-10 record. They play next when they host Hobart for a non-league bout on Monday, April 24. Merrillville will confront a Brickies squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to Lowell (Lowell, IN). The Brickies record now stands at 7-5.
