Munster Mustangs (Munster, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN), 9-6 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Central for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27.

With the loss, Andrean falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Fighting 59ers travel to South Central (Union Mills, IN) to face the Satellites in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Satellites enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. South Central lost 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Crown Point (Crown Point, IN)
