The Monticello Mustangs triumphed over the host Louisa County Lions softball squad by a count of 9-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs meet the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 23. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Flying Flucos enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 10-1 non-league loss to Goochland (Goochland, VA).
The Lions (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Goochland overcame Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA), 10-1, in a non-league challenge.
